Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team seeks engineers to develop, test, and implement power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. Hybrid role with about 35% travel/onsite work.

The PSC group integrates HMIs, PLCs, relays, and components across major brands. The role offers an annual salary range from $97,000 to $143,000 with paid overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum 7 years of power distribution controls experience OR Master’s degree with at least 5 years OR a minimum 10 years of power distribution controls experience.
• Must have a current, unrestricted driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications (Main-Tie-Main, Main-Gen, etc.).
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
