Job summary
Eaton Corporation is seeking an experienced controls engineer to join the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team. The role focuses on developing, testing, and implementing PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications, ensuring compliance with customer and internal specifications.
Hybrid role with approximately 35% on-site work; candidates should have a strong background in power distribution controls and related protocols, and possess a current driver’s license for site
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years in power distribution controls, or Master’s with 5+ years, or 10+ years experience.
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR; motor vehicle record check upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications.
- Follow customer specs and internal specifications for project implementation.
- Select components and create bill of materials.
- Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
- Prepare customer submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
- Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
