Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with emphasis on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types with ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency response letters.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex State and Federal payroll tax notices across multiple states and agencies.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions and drive correction workflows to resolution.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Correction, Amendment, and Notice requests with high accuracy.
• Monitor WIP, identify aging cases, and propose root-cause solutions to blockers.
• Serve as real-time resource for Senior Payroll Tax Processors and coach team members.
