Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Expert to act as SME on end-to-end resolution of payroll tax issues across Notices, Corrections, and Amendments.

The Staff Payroll Tax Processor leads complex cases, mentors staff, and ensures knowledge transfer while owning the most challenging matters in the queue. The role focuses on fixing payroll tax problems, including preparing amended returns and addressing tax notices across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution.
• Expert knowledge of federal/state payroll notice types and penalty abatement.
• Proven ability to draft agency responses with supporting documents.
• Experience filing amended returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across multiple states.
• Deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and payroll tax deposits.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex payroll tax notices across multiple states.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across 10+ states.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods.
• Maintain high productivity resolving correction and amendment requests.
• Monitor WIP daily and address aging cases and blockers.
• Be real-time resource for Senior Payroll Tax Processors and share knowledge.
• Conduct coaching sessions quarterly with SBIC feedback model.
• Contribute to team huddles and QA sessions.
• Author and review SOPs and KB articles.
• Identify trends and compliance issues; propose resolutions.
• Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve interconnected issues.
