Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks a POWER Testing and Energization Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Maine, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

You will perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems in substations and bulk electrical power facilities, working with Omicron, Doble, and other relay test equipment. You will document field activities, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety and compliance while supporting project teams and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years in electrical testing including medium/high voltage equipment.
• Experience with protective relays and protective schemes.
• Proficiency with field testing standards (NETA/IEEE/NFPA).
• Knowledge of high/very high voltage substations and relays.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use testing software.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems.
• Conduct on-site relay testing and data collection with field teams.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
• Support project leads and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on sites.
