Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in WA, ID, NV, AZ, and UT. You will perform testing and commissioning of protection and control systems for high voltage substations, using Omicron and Doble test sets, while documenting field activities and ensuring safety.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical testing, knowledge of relay schemes, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years in electrical testing, including medium/high voltage breakers and transformers.
Experience with transmission/generation/distribution relays and protection schemes.
Relay testing/calibration using Omicron Doble test sets.
Familiarity with IEEE/NETA/NFPA standards and field safety.

Responsibilities

Perform testing/commissioning for Protection and Control systems on HV substations.
On-site relay testing with Omicron/Doble equipment.
Document site activities with field forms and mobile apps.
Assist Field Lead/Project Manager and escalate complex issues.
Maintain logs, photos, and digital reports with attention to detail.
Support subcontractor monitoring and project reporting.
Adhere to WSP safety policies and code of conduct.
