Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Experienced P&C Field Services Technician in Colorado. You will perform testing and commissioning of high voltage protection and control systems at substations, using Omicron and Doble equipment, documenting activities with field forms and digital tools.

The role emphasizes on-site execution, safety compliance, mentoring junior technicians, and collaboration with project leads across utility and industrial power systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical testing, including HV circuit breakers and transformers.
• Experience with protection and control testing per industry standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA).
• Knowledge of relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE) and relay calibration with test sets.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing/commissioning for Protection and Control systems in substations.
• On-site relay testing using Omicron Doble test sets; document field activities.
• Support field teams, escalate issues, and maintain logs and reports.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on active job sites.
• Review work of junior technicians and provide guidance as needed.
