WSP USA seeks a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Maine, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. You will perform testing and commissioning for protection and control systems on HV substations, using Omicron and Doble test equipment, and document field activities.

You will mentor junior technicians, ensure safety, and collaborate with field teams to maintain quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical testing, including HV circuit breakers and transformers.
• Expertise with transmission, generation, and distribution relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE) and protective schemes.
• Protective relay testing with test sets such as Omicron CMC 256/356 and Doble F6150.
• Knowledge of testing standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and prepare field logs and reports.
• Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs and travel up to 80%.

Responsabilités

• Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• On-site relay testing using Omicron/Doble equipment.
• Document site activities with field forms and digital tools.
• Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor on projects.
• Maintain logs, photos, and labels with attention to detail.
• Escalate complex issues to field leadership and ensure safety compliance.
