Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician to support projects across Florida and other locations. You will lead field operations for high‑voltage testing and energization of protection and control systems in substations and industrial facilities, with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, coordinating with engineers and contractors, performing relay testing with Omicron and Doble

Qualifications

11+ years in electrical testing including HV substations and protection & controls testing.
Experience with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.
Advanced testing of protective relays and calibration using test sets like Omicron Doble.
Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA standards and related field practices.
Ability to lead field teams, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Lead field operations for complex testing, energization, and commissioning projects.
Mentor technicians and manage site logistics, ensuring clear communication with leadership.
Perform on-site relay testing using Omicron/Doble equipment and document results.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, risk assessments, and client requirements.
Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and project managers to meet schedule and quality targets.
