Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Senior Professional Services Consultant/Engineer to support client staff with Fortinet product operations, develop MOPs for migrations and upgrades, and create test plans for new features. The role requires deep Fortinet knowledge, strong networking security expertise, and excellent communication skills.

The candidate will verify configurations, perform interoperability evaluations, and provide training to client staff while maintaining core Fortinet competencies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support and/or administration.
• 5+ years experience with Network Security Products.
• 2+ years experience with Fortinet products.
• Professional Services Consultant/Engineer experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of security and networking principles and technologies (Switching, Routing, Load Balancing, WiFi).
• Knowledge of Firewall, IPS, VPN, Antivirus, AntiSpam, Web Filtering, Application Control.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working independently and in a team environment.
• Able to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assisting client staff with day to day Fortinet products operation/support.
• Development of MOPs for migrations, upgrades and updates.
• Development of test plans and testing new features/releases.
• Verifying configurations and implementing best practices.
• Performing interoperability evaluation of devices that interact with Fortinet products.
• Training and knowledge transfer to client staff.
• Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet's product line and technologies.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
