Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Professional Services Consultant to join our team in New Jersey. The consultant will work directly with the end user to define daily activities and deliver operational Fortinet product support.

Responsibilities include creating MOPs, testing new features, validating configurations, and training client staff. The role requires 7+ years in network consulting, 5+ years in network security, and 2+ years with Fortinet products; occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support and/or administration
• 5+ years with network security products
• 2+ years with Fortinet products
• Experience as a Professional Services Consultant/Engineer is a plus
• Solid understanding of security and networking principles and technologies

Responsibilities

• Assist client staff with day-to-day Fortinet product operation and support
• Develop methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades and updates
• Develop test plans and test new features or releases
• Verify configurations and implement best practices
• Perform interoperability evaluation of devices interacting with Fortinet products
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff
• Develop and maintain core Fortinet product knowledge
• Resolve and/or escalate issues promptly
