Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Planning to provide enterprise-level leadership for network capacity, investment, and multi-year planning across technologies and markets. This role partners with Finance, Product, Architecture, and Engineering to deliver measurable planning outcomes and capital stewardship.

The position is a full-time remote/work-from-home role in the USA, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and potential weekend coverage based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in network planning, telecommunications, infrastructure strategy, or related fields.
• 3+ years of formal people leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional portfolios or programs.
• Strong knowledge of network capacity planning, forecasting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic network planning and portfolio leadership across assigned technologies and markets.
• Translate business strategy and roadmaps into multi-year investment plans with defined outcomes.
• Drive governance and escalation paths; provide senior leaders with recommendations.
• Convert planning decisions into executable projects with defined ownership and funding.
• Champion data-driven planning with dashboards, scenario modeling, and automated reporting.
• Represent Network Planning in executive reviews and cross-functional decision forums.
• Lead, coach, and develop managers and analysts; align resources to priorities.
