Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Planning to lead enterprise-level planning for capacity, investment, and deployment across technologies and markets. This role drives multi-year strategies and communicates with executives to align priorities and resources.

You will manage a team of planners and analysts, translate business demand into executable plans, and champion data-driven decision making using dashboards and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in network planning, telecommunications, infrastructure strategy, engineering, operations, financial planning, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of formal people leadership experience, including responsibility for performance, development, prioritization, and organizational outcomes.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional portfolios or programs with material capital, customer, operational, or strategic impact.
• Strong knowledge of network capacity planning, forecasting, infrastructure investment, project lifecycle, and operational risk management.
• Proven financial acumen, including capital planning, business-case development, prioritization, forecasting, and variance management.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present concise recommendations and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience using analytics, dashboards, and planning tools to improve decisions, transparency, and execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, establish operating structure, and deliver results across organizational boundaries.

• Drive governance and senior leadership alignment across functions.
• Oversee capital planning, forecasting, and variance management.
• Manage dependencies across engineering, procurement, and delivery.
• Lead data-driven planning with dashboards and AI-enabled insights.
• Communicate risks, options, and tradeoffs to executives.
