Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Planning to provide enterprise-level leadership for capacity, investment, and deployment planning across technologies and markets. This role translates business demand into prioritized network plans and leads managers to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will drive multi-year strategy, governance, and capital efficiency while collaborating with product, architecture, finance, and operations to ensure risk-aware decisions and executive visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 8+ years in network planning or related discipline with cross-functional impact.
• 3+ years of formal people leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading complex portfolios with capital impact.
• Strong knowledge of network capacity planning and investment processes.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with analytics and planning tools to improve decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and operating plans for a multi-year network portfolio.
• Translate strategy into multi-year investment plans with defined outcomes.
• Drive end-to-end alignment across network domains and governance.
• Lead capital planning, forecasting, and variance management.
• Develop investment proposals with scope, milestones, and financial impact.
• Manage dependencies across engineering, procurement, and operations.
• Lead risk management and executive escalation for portfolio issues.
• Champion data-driven planning with dashboards, models, and automated reporting.
• Represent Network Planning in executive reviews and cross-functional forums.
• Grow and develop managers and analysts within the team.
