Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to modernize legacy business applications into cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery of scalable .NET APIs, mentor offshore teams, and drive CI/CD while ensuring security and quality.

The role is remote with exposure to US-based projects and client requirements. A strong background in .NET, SQL Server, microservices, and AWS is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or distributed apps.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T‑SQL.
• Hands-on migration of business logic from stored procedures to services.
• Solid REST API design, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, and JWT security.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging/event tools (SQS/SNS/EventBridge).
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration/API/contract).
• Leadership experience managing offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud-native migration.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure delivery of customer features.
• Mentor offshore development teams and provide regular progress updates to leadership.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by migrating logic from SQL stored procedures to scalable C# services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, reliable production releases.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality and security.
