Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to guide the modernization of legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs, while mentoring offshore teams and ensuring quality, security, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Design, build, deploy microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong C#, .NET, SQL Server, and T-SQL expertise.
• Migrate business logic from stored procedures to application services.
• RESTful API design, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, JWT security.
• EF Core, Dapper, async programming, performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, SQS/SNS/EventBridge).
• Experience in automated testing (unit/integration/API/contract).
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of .NET services and APIs for cloud migration.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor offshore development teams and remove delivery blockers.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by moving logic from SQL Server stored procedures to C# services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases with secure deployments.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to boost productivity while ensuring code quality and security.
