Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead (AWS) to modernize legacy applications into cloud-native services on AWS. You will design, build, and deliver scalable .NET APIs, lead engineering practices, and mentor offshore teams while ensuring quality, security, and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on AWS experience, REST/OpenAPI design, and leading cross-functional efforts across product, QA, and architecture to enable cloud-first solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or distributed apps.
• Strong REST API, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, and JWT security knowledge.
• Hands-on AWS (ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, SQS/SNS/EventBridge).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit/integration/API).
• Leadership experience with offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud-native migration.
• Drive engineering excellence via sprint planning, code reviews, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor offshore development teams and remove blockers.
• Migrate legacy logic from stored procedures to scalable C# services with automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, reliable deployments.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and security.
