Job summary
The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Sr. Mine Engineer to provide technical support for surveying, drilling, blasting, reserve evaluation, and mine planning for permitting purposes. Relocation to Central Ohio is required.
Responsibilities include conducting drone surveys, preparing phased mine plans, and using CAD and mine planning software to support operations and regulatory documentation. Strong emphasis on safety and teamwork across CRH entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.
- Three years' related experience preferred.
- Experience with land surveying instruments, CAD, mine planning software preferred.
- Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inventory surveys using drone and traditional surveying methods.
- Survey boundaries, limits, and topography for mine planning and property management.
- Prepare phased short, medium, and long term mine plans for operations management.
- Use mine planning software for projects including overburden stripping plans, reserve estimation, exploration, and regulatory documentation.
