Job summary
The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Mine Engineer to support surveying, drilling, blasting, and mine planning for permitting and mine design. You will develop phased short- and long-term plans, use mine planning software, and contribute to safety and efficiency across projects.
A Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or Geology is required, with related experience preferred. Proficiency with CAD and mine software, plus strong communication, are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or Geology required or equivalent.
- Three years of related experience preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD and mine planning software required.
- Willingness to travel and relocate to Central Ohio as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conducts inventory surveys using drone and traditional surveying methods.
- Surveys boundaries, limits, and topography for mine planning and property management.
- Prepare phased short, medium, and long-term mine plans for operations management.
- Use mine planning software for projects such as overburden plans, reserve estimation, and exploration.
- Promote technology and engineering practices impacting safety, costs, and sustainability.
