Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Mine Engineering/Surveying professional to support operations with surveying, drilling, blasting, and planning for permitting. A Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or Geology is required, with experience in CAD and mine planning software.

Relocation to Central Ohio is required. Duties include drone surveys, boundary/topography work, phased mine planning, and collaboration with CRH teams to drive safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; three year's related experience preferred.
• Experience with land surveying instruments, CAD, mine planning software preferred.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations management for surveying, drilling and blasting, and mine design for permitting and planning.
• Conduct inventory surveys using drone and traditional methods and assist with boundary/topography for planning.
• Prepare phased mine plans and use mine planning software for overburden, reserves, and exploration projects.
• Promote technology and safety while aiding cost, safety, and sustainability considerations.
• Collaborate with CRH teams and present plans to upper management.
