Job summary
The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks a Mining Engineer to support surveying, drilling and blasting, exploration, reserve evaluation, and mine design for permitting and planning. Relocation to Central Ohio is required.
Responsibilities include drone and traditional surveying, phased mine planning, and use of CAD and planning software to support safety, costs, and sustainability. Travel and occasional nights/weekends are expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.
- Three years of related experience preferred.
- Experience with land surveying instruments, CAD, and mine planning software.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to operations management for surveying, drilling and blasting, exploration, and mine design.
- Prepare phased short, medium, and long-term mine plans for operations management.
- Use mine planning software for overburden planning, reserve estimation, exploration, and regulatory documentation.
- Promote safety, cost efficiency, and sustainability in mining operations.
- Communicate plans to management and collaborate across teams.
