Job summary
The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is looking for a Senior Mine Engineer to support surveying, drilling, blasting, reserve evaluation, and mine design for permitting and planning. Relocation to Central Ohio is required.
The role involves using CAD, mine planning software, drone surveying, and data-driven presentations to operations management, with travel and flexible hours as needed. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering or Geology and 3+ years of related experience;
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering or Geology; 3+ years related experience preferred.
- Experience with land surveying instruments and mine planning software.
- Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inventory surveys using drone and traditional surveying methods.
- Survey boundaries and topography for mine planning and property management.
- Prepare phased short, medium, and long term mine plans for operations management.
- Use mine planning software for overburden plans, reserve estimation, exploration projects, and SEC documentation.
- Promote and utilize technology and data-driven insights to improve safety, costs, and sustainability.
- Present plans to management and cross-functional teams.
