Job summary
The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Mine Engineer to provide technical support for surveying, drilling and blasting, and mine design. You will prepare phased mine plans, use CAD and planning software, and help with permitting and SEC documentation while promoting safe, cost‑efficient operations.
Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's in Mine Engineering or Geology with several years of related experience, be proficient in CAD and office tools, and be willing to travel and work
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent.
- Three years' related experience preferred.
- Experience with land surveying instruments and mine planning software.
- Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to operations management for surveying, drilling and blasting, and mine design for permitting and planning.
- Use mine planning software for overburden plans, reserve estimation, exploration, and SEC documentation.
- Develop data‑driven plans and present to upper management.
- Travel and work away from home regularly; assist team and mentor members.
