Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Mine Engineer to provide technical support to operations management in surveying, drilling and blasting, exploration, reserve evaluation, and mine design for permitting and planning purposes. This role requires relocation to Central Ohio and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include conducting drone and traditional surveys, developing phased mine plans, and using CAD and mine planning software for overburden and reserve estimation, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.
• Three years' related experience preferred. Experience with land surveying instruments, CAD, mine planning software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing technical support to operations management with respect to surveying, drilling and blasting, exploration, reserve evaluation, inventory management, and mine design for permitting and mine planning purposes.
• Use mine planning software for overburden stripping plans, reserve estimation, exploration projects, and SEC documentation as well as other CRH requirements.
• Promote and utilize technology, engineering, and other factors that could affect costs, safety, and sustainability of mining operations.
