Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Mid-Revenue Cycle Leader to direct facility coding denials and enterprise operations. This is a full-time, remote-eligible role with a 40-hour workweek and collaboration across clinical, IT, and Compliance teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in mid-revenue cycle operations, 2+ years in leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field; RHIA certification is preferred. Remote work may be approved for qualified states.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mid-revenue cycle operations, coding, or HIM, including 2+ years of leadership experience in a large integrated healthcare system.
• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Coding Certification issued by AAPC or AHIMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations within the assigned function area to align with divisional and enterprise goals.
• Evaluate processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and standardization across the Mid-Revenue Cycle.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and confidentiality of patient records; report non-compliant practices.
• Use KPIs to measure performance, track trends, and drive data-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, and Revenue Cycle leaders to drive system enhancements.
• Hire, coach, and develop staff; provide training and career growth opportunities.
