Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a senior leader for Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Integrity Operations: Facility Coding Denials. The role emphasizes operational leadership, regulatory compliance, and data-driven improvement of mid-revenue cycle processes.

The candidate will manage a team, drive standardization, and collaborate with clinical, IT, and finance partners to ensure accurate coding and timely denials resolution. Bachelor’s in HIM or related field with RHIA preferred is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• RHIA certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mid-revenue cycle operations, coding, or HIM; 2+ years in leadership within a large integrated healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Lead and manage daily operations within the assigned function area.
• Operational Efficiency: Evaluate processes to improve efficiency and standardize best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and protect patient data.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Use KPIs to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage health tech and analytics to support decision-making.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with clinicians, IT, and finance to align goals.
• Team Leadership & Development: Hire, evaluate, and develop staff for a high-performing team.
• Strategic Initiatives & Execution: Lead projects to improve effectiveness and drive system enhancements.
