Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Mid-Revenue Cycle Leader to oversee facility coding denials and inpatient/outpatient coding operations.

The role leads daily operations, drives process improvements, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with clinical, IT, and finance teams to optimize performance across the revenue cycle. RHIA certification is preferred and a bachelor’s degree in HIM or Healthcare Administration is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in mid-revenue cycle operations, coding, or HIM.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a large integrated healthcare system.
• Experience with facility and professional coding workflows and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations within the function area.
• Improve efficiency and standardize best practices across the Mid-Revenue Cycle.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and confidentiality of patient records.
• Utilize KPIs to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Leverage healthcare technology and analytics to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, compliance, and revenue cycle leaders.
• Lead and develop a team through hiring, performance evaluations, and development.
• Drive strategic initiatives and system enhancements.
