Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

You will decide whether to deploy an internal technician or third party, resolving mechanical and electrical issues on Ryder fleet vehicles while improving customer uptime. The role requires strong maintenance knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work in a remote, evening shift environment with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Five+ years in Ryder shop environment preferred.
• Two+ years in Ryder operations customer service exposure preferred.
• Four+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• Two+ years in diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required.
• ASE Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions related to cost and uptime.
• Coordinate follow-ups, escalations, and service provider interactions with RCRC and leadership; provide summaries to improve breakdowns and warranty issues.
• Provide updated technical knowledge and training material to the maintenance team from OEM sources and internal bulletins.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team and participate in meetings and training.
