Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish and decide on internal vs. third-party repairs.

You will resolve technical issues on Ryder lease or contract vehicles, using strong maintenance knowledge and problem-solving processes to restore uptime and improve customer experience. Role includes remote shift Tue-Sat 3:00pm-11:30pm EST with $28.00/hr base pay plus $1.00 or $1.50 shift differentials depending

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred - ASE certifications.
• Five+ years in Ryder Operations (shop) environment preferred.
• Two+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• Four+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• Two+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required.
• ASE Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions related to cost and uptime.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, service provider interactions in partnership with RCRC agents and leadership.
• Provide updated technical knowledge to the maintenance team via OEM info, internal training, bulletins, infoCenter, etc.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team, provide status updates and training.
