Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to fully own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases, deciding between internal technicians or third parties, and resolving complex vehicle issues with a focus on uptime and customer experience.

The role requires deep maintenance knowledge, diagnostic expertise, and the ability to mentor Tier 1 staff. Shift includes evenings/weekends, with hourly pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred (ASE).
• 5+ years in Ryder Operations (shop) environment preferred.
• 2+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• 2+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure for Ryder fleet.

Responsibilities

• Own tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.
• Determine whether to deploy internal technician or third-party service.
• Provide updates and analysis to maintenance team to improve uptime and OEM quality.
• Mentor Tier 1 call center team and provide periodic training.
