Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS to provide premium support for our mainframe clients in a remote U.S. role.

The position emphasizes CICS TS expertise, OEM product handling, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migrations and upgrades. You will participate in 24x7 coverage across time zones, manage OS upgrade prep, and assist with disaster recovery testing and change control processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years on the zSeries (mainframe) with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS, its configuration and tailoring.
• Strong experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Solid analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts.
• Experience monitoring CICS TS performance.
• Able to multi-task and work under deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for CICS TS issues and related products.
• Support 24x7 across multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM products per best practices.
• Assist in preparing customer partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations and transitions involving CICS TS.
• Assist project managers in migrations to avoid delays.
• Coordinate with Disaster Recovery Services for DR plans.
