Job summary

Ensono is seeking an experienced mainframe engineer to provide premium support for CICS TS and related OEM products. You will handle customer service orders, diagnose complex CICS issues, and participate in 24x7 uptime across multiple time zones.

The role requires 10+ years on the zSeries platform, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication. Expect collaborative migration work, OS upgrade readiness, and adherence to ITSM processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years on zSeries mainframe with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS capabilities and tailoring, including related OEM products.
• Strong knowledge of IBM SMP/E.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to teams.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues.
• Support 24x7x365 in multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM software per Ensono standards.
• Assist with customer partitions preparation for annual OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations and transitions for CICS TS and OEM products.
• Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services for DR plan tasks.
• Adhere to ITSM change control and implement product fixes and upgrades.
