Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support ISV software, install and upgrade components, and provide on-call problem resolution. The role focuses on z/OS, SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and USS, with strong collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in mainframe environments, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and the ability to handle high-pressure incidents while delivering quality service. Remote work is supported with possible client-site shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E
• Strong knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL
• Strong knowledge of Unix System Services (USS) and its file system management and security
• Ability to perform the skill set of a Mainframe System Programmer
• Ability to perform moderately complex ISV installations
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Stress resistant for major incidents or emergencies
• Self-motivated with strong analytical skills and organizational abilities

• Setup parameters and coordinate with vendors
• Participate in technical projects and problem solving
• Provide on-call support and communicate effectively during incidents
