Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is seeking culinary team members to join a fast-paced, guest-focused kitchen. You will produce from standardized recipes, prepare, portion, and cook foods to specification, and ensure stations are ready for business.

You'll work under culinary management, follow sanitation guidelines, and collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality results. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus culinary education or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Culinary arts courses or the equivalent experience.
• Culinary education or 3+ years in a casual full-service restaurant or establishment.

Responsibilities

• Produce from standardized recipes.
• Prepare, portion, and cook food accordingly.
• Ensure stations are prepared to meet anticipated levels of business for the day, assisting fellow staff when needed.
• Validated on all stations (including Prep).
• Accomplish daily cleaning duties in an efficient manner following sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to properly handle high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent quality of food in a fast-paced environment.
• Work hands on with other kitchen personnel to ensure high quality of food, timeliness of food service, proper food handling, and a safe, sanitary kitchen.
• Knowledge of safety procedures to ensure employee safety.
• Follows all appropriate procedures and works under supervision of culinary management team.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• May occasionally interact directly with guests.
• Abides by company and department specific appearance standards.
• Demonstrates professionalism that reflects our brand and company values.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
