Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coding Specialist to join our 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team in Little Rock, AR. You will code inpatient records using ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, ensuring compliance and accurate reimbursement.

The role requires seven years of acute-care inpatient coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and an Associate's in Health Information Management. A 40-hour workweek, 8-hour days, and full-time schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• 7 years' inpatient coding experience in acute care.
• Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure correct code selection per Official Coding Guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain quality (95%+) and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with CDI and QA teams to match DRGs.
• Participate in payer audits and clinical meetings.
