Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to join the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team. You will code inpatient encounters using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements. This full-time role requires extensive experience and a strong attention to detail.

The position offers 40 hours per week, a full benefits package, and opportunities for remote work within approved states. Certification by AAPC or AHIMA is required.

Qualifications

• 7 years' inpatient coding experience in acute care, including revenue cycle workflow.
• Coders must follow Official Coding Guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with high-dollar, long-stay cases and CDI collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure accurate code selection and compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain high-quality productivity and meet department targets.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to align DRG reconciliation.
• Participate in payer audits and support updates to coding policies.
