This position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with CDI and quality teams.

Requirements include 7 years inpatient coding in acute care, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and an Associate Degree in Health Information Management.

Qualifications

• 7 years inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility.
• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Certification as a coder (AAPC or AHIMA) required.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure code selection complies with Official Coding Guidelines and federal/insurer requirements.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while supporting discharge processes.
