Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to join our Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Coding Production Operations team. You will review complex inpatient records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS codes, and ensure compliance with official guidelines.

The role supports a mix of inpatient services across various lines, with opportunities to work remotely in designated states. Requires 7+ years inpatient coding experience and certification from AAPC or AHIMA.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in ICD, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Maintain high quality and productivity, meeting 95% quality and 100% productivity standards.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to reconcile DRGs and ensure compliant coding practices.
