Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Inpatient Coder to join our 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team. You will perform high-level inpatient coding using ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, ensuring compliance with Official Coding Guidelines and payer requirements.

Ideal candidates have a Coding Certification (AAPC or AHIMA), an Associate's degree in Health Information Management, and about 7 years of inpatient coding experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Certified inpatient coder with ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS knowledge.
• 7 years inpatient coding experience in acute care settings.
• Associate degree in health information management or related field.
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA required.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient records using ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS with high accuracy.
• Review complex inpatient documentation and ensure proper sequencing.
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to match DRG accuracy.
• Meet quality and productivity targets (≥95% quality, ≥100% productivity).
