Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time inpatient coder to support the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Coding Production Operations. You will code complex inpatient cases using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, ensuring alignment with guidelines and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA) and an Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field, with 7 years of inpatient coding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Inpatient coding experience with acute care facilities.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate codes.
• Code under ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS following official guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with CDI, quality teams, and clinicians to ensure accurate DRG assignments.
