Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to join the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team. The role covers inpatient coding operations with a focus on accuracy and compliance across ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, aligning with CDI and quality initiatives.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with standard Monday–Friday scheduling. Remote work options may be available for eligible states, with benefits eligible per policy.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• 7 years inpatient coding experience in acute care setting.
• Certifications: AAPC or AHIMA.
• Proficient ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Code high dollar and long length of stay cases.
• Maintain coding accuracy to 95%+ and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams for DRG matches.
