Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a production underwriter to market, underwrite and process assigned lines of business. The role may include mentoring junior staff and participating in special projects. Remote or on-site work during standard hours is allowed.

The candidate will underwrite new business and renewals, strengthen broker relationships, and build a robust submission pipeline. Strong negotiation and detailed market analysis are essential for profitable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience with authority.
• Strong relationships with professional liability brokers in the Central U.S. marketplace.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for the assigned area.
• Ensure marketing initiatives are achieved and communicate products to brokers.
• Develop broker relations and establish new relationships in targeted territories.
• Participate in client and broker meetings.
• Maintain a submission pipeline to meet production objectives.
• Leverage market contacts to source business and cross-sell other products.
