Job summary

Argo Group, an underwriter of specialty insurance products, seeks a production underwriter to market, underwrite and process submissions. This 100% in-office role requires working on-site during standard hours and involves mentoring staff.

You will underwrite, analyze submissions, develop broker relationships, and contribute to market initiatives while maintaining a robust submission pipeline and delivering profitable accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• IIA and CPCU designations strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience with authority.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for our assigned area.
• Ensure marketing initiatives are achieved and that consistent communication of our products to brokers.
• Develop and maintain a submission pipeline to achieve production and business mix objectives.
• Build broker relationships and establish new ones in targeted territories.
• Participate in client and broker meetings to gather market intelligence.
