Job summary

Argo Group, a specialty insurance underwriter, seeks a production underwriter to market, underwrite and process assigned lines. Remote or on-site work during standard hours is possible.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of underwriting experience with authority, and ideally IIA/CPCU designations. Travel ~20% and strong broker relations in the Central U.S. are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Five years underwriting experience with authority.
• IIA and CPCU designations strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for the assigned area.
• Maintain marketing initiatives and communicate product offerings to brokers.
• Develop broker relations in targeted territories to attract business opportunities.
• Participate in client and broker meetings.
• Develop and maintain a submission pipeline to meet production objectives.
• Leverage market contacts to gather intelligence and cross-sell other products.
