Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a production underwriter to market, underwrite, and process assigned lines of business. The role supports remote or on-site work during standard business hours and may involve mentoring staff.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of underwriting experience with authority and may hold IIA or CPCU designations. Strong broker relations and market intelligence are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Continual self-development and willingness to update skills.
• IIA/CPCU designations strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience with authority.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for assigned area.
• Ensure marketing initiatives are achieved and communicate our products to brokers.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships and establish new ones in targeted territories.
• Participate in client and broker meetings.
• Develop and maintain a submission pipeline to meet production objectives.
• Use market contacts to gather market intelligence and cross-sell products.
