Job summary

Argo Group, a specialty insurance underwriter, seeks a production underwriter to market, underwrite and process submissions. This is a 100% in-office role requiring on-site work during standard hours.

Responsibilities include underwriting new business, maintaining broker relations, building a submission pipeline, and participating in client meetings. Bachelor's degree and five years underwriting exp. CPCU/IIA preferred. Travel ~20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience with authority.
• Strong broker relationships and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for our assigned area.
• Ensure marketing initiatives are achieved and communicate products to brokers.
• Develop and maintain submission pipeline to meet production objectives.
• Attend client and broker meetings and cross-sell other products.
• Use market contacts to gather market intelligence and expand opportunities.
