Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a production underwriter to market, underwrite, and process assigned lines of business. This on-site role requires working in the designated office during standard business hours.

Responsibilities include underwriting new business and renewals, developing broker relationships, and participating in client meetings. A strong focus on pipeline management and cross-selling will drive production and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor27s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Five years underwriting experience with authority.
• Strong broker relationships in professional liability brokerage.
• IIA/CPCU designations are preferred.
• Proven ability to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for assigned area.
• Market and communicate products to retail and wholesale brokers.
• Develop and maintain broker relations and target territories.
• Attend client and broker meetings.
• Maintain a submission pipeline to meet production goals.
• Leverage market contacts to bring in business and cross-sell products.
