Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer for the IRS client. This is a remote, full-time role requiring an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) and a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of COBOL experience.

Responsibilities include leading software development, coding, testing, documentation updates, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure system requirements are met. Experience with DB2, CICS, and JCL is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
• At least four years of IBM COBOL programming experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development of software solutions to meet business requirements, including design, unit testing, troubleshooting, and detailed proposals.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools and implement as appropriate.
• Create, update, unit test, and maintain IBM COBOL programs; update related documentation.
• Collaborate with managers and technical staff to clarify program intent and suggest changes.
• Prepare workflow diagrams and convert them into coded instructions in a computer language.
