Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer for the IRS client. This is a full-time, remote role requiring active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI). You will lead COBOL development, update documentation, and mentor other developers while ensuring compliance with tax processing systems.

A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of COBOL experience are required. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, performance optimization, and adherence to coding standards.

Formación

• Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience with IBM COBOL.
• Experience with DB2, CICS, and IBM DB2 utilities.
• Experience with SQL, JCL, and Batch processing.
• Must have active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).
• Strong communication and client-support skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development of COBOL modules meeting system specifications.
• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs.
• Review code, perform unit tests, and integrate modules.
• Update documentation and maintain run books.
• Collaborate with managers and engineers to clarify requirements.
