Maximus is seeking a FULL TIME Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client. This is a remote position requiring an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).

Your role includes leading software design, COBOL coding, DB2/CICS/SQL work, and guiding junior developers while ensuring quality through unit testing and documentation. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Must possess an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).
• At least four years of experience with IBM COBOL programming language.
• Experience with DB2 and IBM DB2 utilities, CICS, SQL, JCL, and batch processing.

• Lead development of software solutions meeting business requirements; design modules, unit test, troubleshoot, and propose resolutions.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools; implement as appropriate.
